According to Mining News Pro - According to Touraj Zare, CEO of Jajarm Alumina Company, by increasing the production of aluminum ingot by 60% percent, the amount of this year will reach to 40 thousand tons.
“Alumina ingot plant was established two years ago in Jajarm province and 10 thousand tons of production was the outfit. Next year and production amount jumped to 25 thousand tons and this year we plan to produce 60 thousand tons,” he explained.
“One of the advantages of Iran Alumina is the production of alumina powder as a raw material for this product. Our company is the only producer of alumina powder with 240 thousand tons per year,’ he added.
“80 thousand tons of this products is consumed in aluminum metal production plant and the other 160 thousand tons are sent to other factories,” Zare said.
Iran Alumina Complex, as the only producer of alumina powder in the country, meets one-fifth of domestic demand and the rest of the country's demands are imported.
