Mining News Pro - CEO of Hormozgan Steel Company announced that this company produced 1460106 tons of slab in the past year (solar year) and due to the hard work of company’s workforce.
According to Mining News Pro - Farzad Arzani, chief executive manager at Hormozgan Steel Company (HOSCO) said that last year’s production volume was a success. The production trend of slab is increasing in the last three years. Three years ago, HOSCO has set a strategic plan for production and in the first year the company had a 23.5 % jump.
“Last year, everything was different. US sanctions aimed Iran’s steel industry and made many obstacles for us however by relying on domestic strengths we overcame the difficulties and supplied many of our needs. We produced 1,460,106 tons of slab which means 1.3% increase compared to two years ago,” Arzani said.
He said that HOSCO had 40% jump in export section and total increase for exports and sales was 13%.
“Sales revenue increased 64 percent last year,” he said.
Farzad Arzani explained that the key for keeping up this improvement is hard work and solidarity. HOSCO gained good result in capacity building, production and financial benefits which is an important factor in company’s policies.
