Mining News Agency – Based on the current condition of exploration from Miduk copper mine, this mine only has 18 years ahead of itself.
Mining News – Asadollad Khajezade, Chairman of Mining Engineering Miduk Mine mentioned that this mine has major sources in depth and surface mining is not affordable anymore and said: “With the current situation, we have only 18 years until the end of this mine.”
He added: “The total annual extraction including wastes, sulfur and oxide soils is 32 million tons.
He continued: “Currently, the amount of sulfur extraction for the concentration plant is about 8 million tons and the oxide soils required for leaching is 3 million tons per year.”
