Mining News Agency -POSCO, the world`s fifth-largest steelmaker by output in South Korea, developed new corrosion-resistant Steel-PosMAC (POSCO Magnesium Aluminum Coated Steel), which was a ternary alloy coated steel (Zn- 3%Mg- 2.5%Al).
Mining News -PosMAC is 5 to 10 times stronger resistance than other existing coated steel sheet, and the price is cheaper than stainless steel.
As one of POSCO`s strategic products, PosMAC is expanding new era. Compared with traditional aluminum product, PosMAC steel plate can reduce production cost by about 6%.
