Mining News Agency -As end of December 30th 2017, US crude steel production reached 90.1 million tons in 2017, increased by 4.3% compared with the same period of last year.
Mining News -The five Great Lakes region`s crude steel weekly output was about 594,000 tons, while the region’s crude steel production fell by 7% in 2017 compared with the same period of last year.
According to American Iron and Steel Institution statistics showed that US domestic steel production utilization rate was 74.3%, increased by 3.8% compared with 70.5% in 2016. In the last week of December 2017, the US steel production utilization rate was 70.2%, down by 3.5% compared with last week`s 73.7%.
