According to Mining News Pro - Amin Ebrahimi said on the sidelines of the 19th International Metallurgical Exhibition of Iran: “If the amount of steel production in Khuzestan Steel Company reaches 13.6 million tons, the share of steel production of this company in the country will reach 25%.”

“To supply the required electricity, this steel company has put the construction of a 520 megawatt combined cycle power plant in Khuzestan province on its agenda. We hope that the first part of this combined cycle power plant of Khuzestan Steel Company will be put into operation by the end of this year.” He said.

The CEO of Khuzestan Steel then announced plans to invest 23 thousand billion tomans of Khuzestan Steel in 145 development projects and added: construction of power plant, construction of oxygen plant 4, development of exploration activities and wide slab production plan are among the important development plans of Khuzestan Steel Company.

“Khuzestan Steel has spent more than 50 billion tomans in this province and Ahvaz in the implementation of its social responsibility. Currently, the equivalent of 1400 billion Tomans has been defined as a project in the field of environmental protection in Khuzestan to minimize the amount of pollutants in this province.” He continued.

“Gas has been one of the advantages of investing in the country's steel industry, and if this routine continues and steelmakers face a shortage of gas, this problem will no longer be an advantage for the steel industry. The country's steel industry is facing challenges in the field of energy supply, and Khuzestan steel is no exception to this, and we hope that the problems and challenges of the industry in supplying the required electricity and gas will be resolved with the plans of the people involved.” He added.
