Esfahan Steel Company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the governor of Kordestan province in Iran in order to complete the iron ore value chain from exploration and extraction to complete mineral processing.
“Kordestan has many different potentials and with better focus and principled planning in these areas, we will undoubtedly achieve a good result,” said Esmaeil Zarei, governor of Kordestan.
“Having a 230 km border with Iraq and the Baneh Special Economic Zone and the Baneh-Marivan Free Zone is one of the most important advantages of this province, especially for investment,” he added.
Zarei pointed out that 18 types of minerals have been identified in this province so far.
