A study of 29,000 square kilometers of Khorasan Razavi mineral area was carried out

Reza Shojaei added that 11,000 and 833 square kilometers of this is done by IMIDRO (Iran Mining and Mining Development and Renovation Organization) with a state budget in Sangan Khaf district. He stated that IMIDRO managed to identify 75 promising potential in the Sangan area of Khorasan Razavi, one of which is the Sangan mine with one billion tons of iron ore, and 74 others are identified by blocking, laminar and coordinates.

He said the exploration operations of 12,995 square kilometers of other mineral areas of the province were carried out by the private sector and exploration operations of 995 km2 by the Iran Mining and Production Company in 95 and 96 years.
Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Khorasan Razavi added that last year 37 licenses were issued for the exploration of a new mine in Khorasan Razavi, an increase of 8.8% compared to the previous year.

He stated that during the said period, 38 cases of discovery certificates were issued for the mines of the province, which was 11.7 percent higher than in the previous year.
There are 46 types of minerals with a total reserve of over 3 billion tons and about 800 active mines in Khorasan Razavi, with an annual extraction of these mines of about one million tons, he said.
Khorasan Razavi is ranked third in terms of the number of mines. 847 mines are licensed in this province.
