Mining News Agency -It was reported that Norsk Hydro, a Norwegian aluminum and renewable energy company, said that its Alunorte alumina refinery has been asked by the Brazilian environmental regulator to cut its capacity by 50% until it met the environmental regulations.
Mining News -Brazilian environmental regulator said that Alunorte alumina refinery was fined of BRL 1 million because it reduced the waste water level at the tailings dam by the deadline.
