Mining News Agency -According to the data from South Kaveh Steel Co. (SKS), one of the steel manufacturers in Iran, its production of billet reached 640,000 tons in the first three quarters of this Iranian fiscal year, up by 50% from the same period a year earlier.
Mining News -In a month ending December 21st, the production of SKS’s billet totaled around 95,300 tons, and that of direct reduced iron was around 156,800 tons, hitting a record high for the single month.
SKS said that its billet exports in the first three quarters of the Iranian fiscal year (from March 21st, 2017 to March 20th, 2018) accounted for 84% of the total production. SKS mainly exported its billet to Thailand, Taiwan, the Philippines, China, Oman, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
Besides, SKS also planned another 80,000 tons of billet exports every month in this Iranian fiscal year (as of March 20th, 2018).
