Mining News Pro - The country has imported 68 thousand tons of steel ingot worth 38 million USD.
According to a report but TUIK, Turkey imported 33.4 thousand tons of billet and bloom that was 4.4 percent lower than last month and reduced by 70.8 percent compared with last year’s February.
Also, the import value has been increased in the same period by 2.2 percent and reached 19 million USD. This is while it is reduced by 69.8 percent compared with last February.
In the first two months of 2019, Turkey imported 68,000 tons of bloom and billet which, is down by 74.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
Russia had the highest exports of billet and bloom to Turkey, with 33.6 thousand tons.
