Iran Became the World’s 10th Steel Maker
Mining News Pro - According to World Steel Association, the 64 steelmaker countries was able to produce 1.7 billion tons of steel which, had 4.5 percent grow compared to the year 2017.

According to Mining News Pro - China is the first steelmaker in the world with a significant difference from other countries. This country produced 928 million 264 thousand tons of crude steel.

In 2018, India which identified as the second largest steelmaker, produced 106 million and 463 thousand tons of crude steel last year. Up by 4.9 percent from 2017.

Japan, the world`s third-largest steel maker, dropped by 0.3 percent to 104 million and 328 thousand tons.

United States is also the fourth major steelmaker which had a 6.2 percent growth by producing 104 million 698 thousand tons.

South Korea is ranked fifth after the United States and has grown by 2% from 71 million and 30 thousand tons in 2017 to 72 million 463 thousand tons.

With the production of 71 million 680 thousand tons, Russia is the sixth world’s largest steelmaker with 0.3 percent growth.

Iran, which has stabilized its tenth place, managed to produce 25 million tons of steel last year, a significant growth of 17.7 percent compared to the same period in 2017. Iran has produced 2.6 million tons of crude steel.
