The president opened three petrochemical projects in Asalouyeh
Mining News Pro - The president launched three important economic projects, including Marjan Petrochemical Methanol Project, the Phase 1 of Damavand Petrochemical Plant, and the third phase of Pardis Petrochemical Complex in Assaluyeh, Bushehr province.

According to Mining News Pro -The construction of the methanol coral project began with the annual production capacity of 1.6 million and 50 thousand tons in 2011, and has since begun its initial production.

By exploiting this petrochemical project, 250 people will be employed during the exploitation period.

Also, the phase of a Damavand Petrochemical Power Plant was officially introduced into the orbit with the aim of supplying electricity and steam to 24 petrochemical complexes in phase 2 of the Pars Special Economic Zone`s petrochemicals.

The first phase of Damavand power plant with installed capacity of 648 MW and the power supply of 540 MW of electricity required by the complexes through 4 turbines of the gas generator and provided with employment for 166 people when in operation.

According to the report, the unit now supplies electricity to the Mehr, Pearl, Kavian, Pick, Persepolis, Marjan, Bushehr, Asalouye green reservoirs, and Unit 1 and Units I of the compact air separation unit.

This power plant with the capacity of producing 2 main boilers and 1 auxiliary thermal recovery boiler has 780 tons of steam per hour, providing the required steam for Petrochemical Complexes of Mehr, Pearl, Kavian and Marjan, and in the future also needs other designs. Under construction in Phase 2 will be provided.

According to IRNA, the president visited Asalouyeh on Tuesday to open three petrochemical projects at the head of the delegation.

President`s visit to Bushehr province for the opening of the project and does not have a public meeting.

Hojatoleslam Dr Hassan Rouhani is on a visit to Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, Minister of Oil, Amir Hatami, Minister of Defense, Mrs. Shahdani, Deputy Minister of Oil and Norouz Zadeh, Deputy Director General of National Petrochemical Industries.

Hojjatoleslam wa-moslemmi Dr. Hassan Rouhani visited the Assaluyeh on Tuesday while opening three important economic projects from various sectors and the control room of these petrochemicals and by explaining the managers and specialists during the course of their activities and products.

The president is scheduled to speak at the campus`s petrochemical plant for a few minutes in front of officials, managers, experts and activists.
