2 - Khouzestan Steel was the second largest DRI producer with production of 922,901 MT DRI, registered a downfall of 14% Y-o-Y.
3 - Other major producers includes HOSCO (453,256 MT), South Kaveh Steel (325,181 MT), Khorasan Steel (350,836 MT) and Saba Steel (313,701 MT).
Billet and Bloom Production Increases by 24% Y-o-Y
Iran produced 3,362,000 MT of billet and bloom in Q1 current Persian year. Production was up by 24% Y-o-Y against 2,708,000 MT produced by nation in last year.
1 - Khouzestan Steel Company was the largest producer of billet and bloom, the company produced 532,882 MT of billet and bloom during the period, registered a downfall of 4% Y-o-Y.
2 - Esfahan Steel Company was the second largest producer of billet and bloom, the company produced 580,831 MT bloom in current Persian year, registered a growth of 10% Y-o-Y.
3 - Khorasan Steel was the third largest producer of billet and bloom, followed by South Kaveh Steel and Iran Alloy Steel Company with production of 278,192 MT billet, 254,126 MT billet and 90,678 MT bloom.
Iran Slab Production by Major Companies Increases by 13% Y-o-Y
Iran produced 2,936,000 MT of slab in Q1 of current Persian year, the nation reportedly produced 13% more than the Q1 of last Persian year which was noted to be 2,604,000 MT.

2 - Khouzestan Steel was the second largest producer of slab in the nation during the period. The company produced 443,551 MT of slab during the period, registered a growth of 14% Y-o-Y.
3 - Hormozgan Steel, a subsidiary of MSC, was the third largest producer of slab in current Persian year, followed by Saba Steel. The companies produced 383,928 MT and 321,182 MT respectively with growth of 13% and 89% Y-o-Y respectively.
