However on monthly basis the same inch down by 2% in Jun’18 to 151.37 in comparison to 154.39 MnT in May’18.
SteelMint has analyzed world’s crude steel production numbers of major steel producing countries -
China’s crude steel output rises by 7% in H1CY’18 - China crude steel output increases by 6% to 451.15 MnT in H1CY18 against 425.42 MnT in H1CY17.However on monthly basis the same inch down by 1% in Jun’18 to 80.19 MnT which was 81.12 MnT in May’18.
However on Y-o-Y basis the same jumped by 7% in Jun’18 against 74.62 MnT Jun’17.
India`s crude steel output increases by 5% in H1CY18- As per WSA (World Steel Association) Indian crude steel output went up by 5% to 52.83 MnT in H1CY18 which was 50.26 MnT in similar time frame of previous year.Although on monthly basis the same remain largely stable at 8.7 MnT since last two consecutive months.
However on yearly basis Indian crude steel output jumped by 7% to 8.73 MnT in Jun’18 against 8.13 MnT in Jun’17.
Japan’s crude steel output inch up marginally in H1CY18-Japan crude steel output inch up slightly by 1% to 52.98 MnT in H1CY18 which was 52.3 MnT in first half of CY17.However on M-o-M basis the same went down by 4% to 8.76 MnT in Jun’18 which was 9.09 MnT in previous month.
Meanwhile on Y-o-Y basis nation’s crude steel output went up by 4% as compared to 8.41 MnT in Jun’17.
United States crude steel output up by 3% in H1CY18- USA crude steel output recorded the growth of 3% in H1CY18 to 41.84 MnT as compared to 40.66 MnT in H1CY17.However on monthly basis the same move down by 6% to 6.84 MnT in Jun’18 against 7.26 MnT in May’18.
However on yearly basis it inch up by 1% in Jun’18 against 6.79 MnT a year ago.
South Korea crude steel output up 4% in H1CY18- South Korea`s crude steel production edge up by 4% to 36.06 MnT which was 34.79 MnT in H1CY18. Although on monthly basis the same went down by 2% to 6.12 MnT in Jun’18 which was 6.23 MnT in May’18.
Meanwhile on Y-o-Y basis the same went up by 3% in Jun’18 against 5.93 MnT in Jun’17.
Crude steel production of other top steel producing countries in month of H1CY18 is as follows Russia: 36.06 MnT Brazil: 16.86 MnT ,Turkey 18.89 MnT and Germany at 22.45 MnT.
