Record the best performance of Chilean copper production in May
Mining News Pro - According to statistics released by the Chilean state government, copper production in the first six months of the year grew by more than 13.5 percent year-on-year.

According to Mining News Pro - Chile`s total copper production in the first five months of the year was 2.36 million tons, up 13.5% from the same period last year, according to the report. The production of the Escondido mine increased more than doubled in the same period last year to 545,600 tons. This increase was largely due to the 44-day production gap of the Escondido mine in 2017.
According to the report, the country`s copper production in May grew 6.1 percent year-on-year to 414,555 tons, a production that has been Chile`s best since the beginning of the year.
