6 Promising Area of Nickel in Semnan Province Prepared for Exploration

Ali Hemmati added that although most of the province`s area is covered by the Zagros zone and is a major non-metallic mineral in the province, it is located in the north and northeastern provinces of Iran due to its location in the geological zone of Iran Central and Sanandaj - Sirjan and the probability of metallic minerals, we defined the nickel zone with an area of 640 KM2 to complete the exploration in the city of Bavanat County.

He added that for the identification and exploration of nickel (Ni) in this area, the area was auctioned to Ghadir mining and mining company through auctions. Hemmati stated that by carrying out exploratory activities by the company, 10 promising areas have been identified, including 8 nickel areas with a size of 90 KM2 and two decorative stones with an area of 5 KM2, and in 6 promising areas Nickel will continue to be explored by the company.
It should be noted that these activities will be carried out for the first time in the country in the province.
