Mining News Agency -According to the Glencore published production report of the first quarter, its production of copper increased by 7% compared with the same period of last year, that of zinc was down by 13% compared with the same period a year ago, that of lead fell by 17% compared with the same period a year earlier, and that of nickel hiked by 21% compared with the same period of the previous year.
Mining News -Glencore produced around 30,000 tons of nickel in the first quarter this year, up by 21% year on year. The increase was mainly due to the steady and continuous growth in the operation of the Koniambo nickel plant, and the sales performance from Murrin and INO was also strong.
