Iranian Mobarakeh Steel produce thin hot-rolled steel coils to reduce import demand
Mining News Agency- It was reported that Iranian Mobarakeh Steel (MSC) will begin production of hot-rolled coils at 1.8mm thickness in June to reduce import demand for below 2.0mm thickness coils.

Mining News - MSC plans to sell 7.6 million tons of steel till March 2019, an increase of 600,000 tons compared with last year, of which more than 80% will supply the domestic market. It is expected that the combined sales of MSC Group will reach 9.66 million tons.

In addition, MSC has reduced the consumption of refractory materials to 15.6 kilograms per ton of molten steel, and graphite electrode consumption dropped to 1.99 kilograms per ton of crude steel, thereby alleviating global electrode supply shortage and the impact of high prices.
