Mining News Agency -On June 24th, 2009, Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry made a sunset review for graphite electrodes origined from China. The dumping of graphite electrodes imported from China did not cause any serious damage to the domestic industries in India. Therefore, the request about anti-dumping of graphite electrodes imported from China has been rejected by Indian government.

At this moment, the existing electric arc furnace (EAF) steel mills were facing a serious shortage of graphite electrodes in India, and the global buyers were facing the problem of tight supply in China and India. In the past eight months, the exports of graphite electrode in India increased about 49%.
