According to Mining News Pro -In August, the country exported 5.88 million tons of steel, down 0.2 percent from the previous month and 9.9 percent from August last year, according to the Chinese Customs Office.

China shipped 47 million and 180 thousand tons of steel between January and August, down 13.1 percent from the same period last year.

On the other hand, China accounted for 1.1m tonnes of steel in August, up 3.6% from the previous month and 7.5% higher than last August.

China in the first eight months of this year also imported 8.8 million tons of steel, down 0.1 percent from the same period last year.

The import of iron ore and concentrate in August was 89.9 million tonnes, up 0.7% from the previous month. China`s iron ore import was 0.8% higher than in August last year.

China shipped 709.9 million tons of iron ore and concentrates between January and August, which is 0.5 percent less than the same period last year.
